Wilma Boslands keramische Arbeiten bewegen sich immer zwischen Abstraktion und figurativen Referenzen, sollen aber niemals realistisch sein. Die Herstellung selbst ist oft ein performativer Akt, der über das bloße Formen hinausgreift. Umso persönlicher und wichtiger sind die Spuren der Bearbeitung des Materials durch die Künstlerin.

Wilma Bosland’s ceramic works always straddle the line between abstraction and figurative references, yet are never intended to be realistic. The creative process itself is often a performative act that goes beyond mere shaping. This makes the traces left by the artist’s manipulation of the material all the more personal and significant.
